Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial significant trophy of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
